I hope you are enjoying another snowy day. As frustrating as snow can be, once you safely get to where you need to be and then look outside, it is gorgeous and amazing. The snow got me thinking this morning. I recently read that every flake of snow is different, no two are the same. How amazing is our God? He creates and designs every snowflake to be similar, yet different. When you look at a snowflake under a microscope, you can see the intricate detail that God crafts into every flake. God’s artistry is truly magnificent.
And that is just a snowflake. Snowflakes are not made in God’s image and they don’t have the Spirit of the Living God in them. We, however, are made in His image and do have the Spirit. We need to recognize the beauty and detail in how God crafted each one of us. One of the biggest things we do while building the hearts and minds of our kids is teaching them the miracles they are IN CHRIST JESUS. Yes, we are sinful, but because of the cross of Jesus Christ, we are as pure and clean as snow! That is a message that must be taught in every classroom, home, and church. So today, when you look at the snow, be reminded of the grace, mercy, and forgiving love of Jesus Christ that has washed away your sin and made you as white as snow.
PS. The dinners for 8th grade parents are coming up in the next two weeks. We would love to have all 8th grade parents or guardians join us. I want to clarify two things. First, even if you know you are sending your child to Illiana, we would still love to have you there. You can ask questions, learn more about us and share with the others about your decision. Second, 7th grade parents are welcome too. We are not trying to be exclusive, just specific to our purpose. You can RSVP at bit.do/feederschool or by calling Marie Limback at 708-474-0515 x49.
