I hope you are enjoying this sunny day. This is your reminder that we have another building tour at 10:00 am, on Saturday morning. Coffee and donut holes will be provided. The tour usually lasts about an hour. Please remember that no young kids will be allowed as it is an active construction site. Children must be junior high age or older to attend.
A few weeks ago, I asked you to send me your questions about the new campus. Last week, we addressed the most common topic, security. Two other common questions are: “What is the status of the athletic complex?” and “If I make a donation today, how will that money be used?” The answers to these questions are related, so I will tackle them together… but not today. I got sidetracked this week with a thought and a challenge (and no it is not because I had a Dunkin’ Donuts hankering).
I got sidetracked because I want all of us to do something together. We have asked a lot from this community over the last few years and you have responded with incredibly generosity. Yet, I am going to ask something of you again. For the next week, please pray for our students. We have some students struggling and hurting and we have some students that are doing well. There is so much going on in the lives of our students, both good and bad, and we want to pray for both. I know some of you pray every day for these kids, and I want to challenge every member of this community to lift our students up in prayer this week. I could give you a long list of specific requests, but for this week, I would just ask that we pray that our students love Jesus Christ. As we near Good Friday and Easter, pray that Jesus will reign in the hearts of these kids. We are in the kid business and they need the prayers of this community. Thank you for all you do and I am praying for you as well.
