Getting closer

Hello everyone,

This week I want to highlight a few things as we get closer to school starting:

1. We have an open house tour this Saturday, August 4, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come see the building. There are a lot of boxes around yet and the ARC will be off-limits, but this is a chance for students, families and communities members to see the new building. Kids are welcome to come as well.

2. Please consider signing up for the Challenged to Ride bike ride on Saturday, August 25. You can choose to do a 10, 22, 33 or 66 mile route. We will gather for a BBQ catered by Welch’s Stop and Shop at the Indiana Dunes. All the proceeds will go the Capital Campaign to help us wrap up a few important projects. Let me know if you have any questions. Click here to sign up.

3. Many people have been asking me for a “wish list” of needs for the new campus. While we are not publically fundraising, we continue to have some needs that cannot be covered by our annual budget. This list is constantly changing, and currently ranges from shelving for the office to dugouts. If you would like to see this list, please contact me.

4. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is Monday, August 20, at 8:00 am. The ceremony should last less than a half-hour and then everyone is invited to tour the building and get a coffee and donuts from Common Grounds! It should be a great morning.

School starts three weeks from today and every day the excitement is building. Thanks for your commitment to Building Illiana!
