As we look forward to the official dedication of the new campus this weekend, there are several changes and updates we want to communicate. The biggest update is that we are officially ending the Building Illiana Capital Campaign. For four years we’ve been campaigning for the New Campus in Dyer and now that we’ve moved into the building our fundraising efforts need to switch to ensure we’re maintaining the needs of the school. What exactly does that mean?
First, the building is built so now all new support given to Illiana will go to the developmental needs of the school. There are many day-to-day expenses that come with running a school and all incoming support will go toward meeting those needs. We hope this will give some clarity to the community when it comes to giving.
Second, we will still be following up on your campaign pledges. We’ll continue sending out pledge balance reminders toward the end of the year. Many of you have pledged over the next couple years and we will stay in contact with you about fulfilling those according to the time table established. We committed to a long-term loan of no more than $5,000,0000 and we are on track to stick to that.
Third, we will not be utilizing the social media pages for Building Illiana anymore. We will be shifting our focus to our Illiana Christian social media pages. We will continue sending out weekly blogs and emails, but these will begin coming from an Illiana domain rather than our campaign domains. You can begin accessing future blog posts at IllianaChristian.org.
Fourth, as a school, we will still be looking to raise funds for projects around the building along with the other developmental needs of the school. If you would like to see this “wishlist”, please contact me at email@example.com.
Finally, this is a moment of joy and thanksgiving for the generosity of this community and the blessings of our faithful God. As we put a bow on this campaign, I want to thank you once again for your commitment in building the hearts and minds of our students for Jesus Christ.
